How Funky is Your Chicken? AutoFry Fried Chicken Recipes

One way for restaurants and c-stores to connect with their clientele and keep them coming back,  is by adding items to their menu that light up the senses and ignite memories of meals from days past. I cannot think of any meal more memorable than fried chicken, and with the right kitchen equipment your only minutes away from that stroll down memory lane, hand and hand with our AutoFry fried chicken recipes!

There is almost something mesmerizing about the smell of fried chicken. It taunts the senses with its richness and can cause the strongest dieter to crumble and surrender their willpower. It’s a comfort to many, and a reminder of childhood dinners that have come and gone. Food is funny like that. A particular smell or taste can transport your thoughts to any time or location. Heck, even the sound of oil popping as the chicken crisps can brighten the dimmest of days!

Fried Chicken and Biscuit Sandwich

Ingredients:

1 Brakebush Southern Select Breaded Chicken Fillet

1 Premade Southern Style Biscuit

1 Tablespoon of Honey

Instructions:

  • Set your AutoFry Temperature to 350 degrees.
  • Drop Brakebush Southern Select Breaded Chicken Fillet into your fryer chute and close the door.
  • Cook for 5 minutes.
  • While chicken is frying slice a premade southern style biscuit.
  • After the timer has rung, signaling the 5 minute mark, wait for your fillet to drop from the exit chute.
  • Place fried chicken fillet on one side of the sliced biscuit.
  • Drizzle fillet with the tablespoon of honey.
  • Top with the remaining half of the biscuit.
  • Enjoy!

Fried Chicken and Donut Sandwich

Ingredients:

1 Brakebush Buttermilk Classic Chicken Fillet

1 Premade donut (we recommend glazed!) 

Instructions:

  • Set your AutoFry Temperature to 350 degrees.
  • Drop Brakebush Buttermilk Classic Chicken Fillet into your fryer chute and close the door.
  • Cook for 5 minutes.
  • While chicken is frying slice a premade (possibly glazed) donut.
  • After the timer has rung, signaling the 5 minute mark, wait for your fillet to drop from the exit chute.
  • Place fried chicken fillet on one side of the sliced donut.
  • Top with the remaining half of the donut.
  • Enjoy!

*Pair with a side of mini hash browns or french fries from the AutoFry and you have a meal fit for breakfast, brunch, lunch and even dinner!

 Full Service Restaurant Recipe

chicken and wafflesFried Chicken and Waffles

Waffle Batter Ingredients:

2 eggs

1 2⁄3 cups milk (I particularly like canned evaporated milk for some of it)

1⁄3 cup vegetable oil

2 cups all-purpose flour (you can substitute wheat germ for 1/4 cup of white flour)

1 tablespoon baking powder

2 tablespoons sugar

1⁄2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanilla

Other Ingredients:

1 Brakebush 3 Piece Country Krisp (1/2 Breast, Thigh, & Drumstick)

2 tablespoons of Sriracha maple syrup

Instructions:

  • Set your AutoFry Temperature to 350 degrees.
  • Sift together the dry ingredients for the waffle.
  • In a separate bowl combine all of your wet ingredients for the waffle.
  • Slowly add your dry ingredients to your wet, continuously whisking until thoroughly combined and set finished batter to the side.
  • Drop Brakebush 3 Piece Country Krisp into your fryer chute and close the door.
  • Cook for 10 minutes.
  • While chicken is frying pour waffle batter into waffle iron.
  • Cook per the instructions of your specific waffle iron.
  • After the timer has rung on the AutoFry, signaling the 10 minute mark, wait for your chicken to drop from the exit chute.
  • Place fried chicken on top of your waffle.
  • Drizzle fillet with the 2 tablespoons of Sriracha maple syrup.
  • Enjoy!
