While sandwiches come in countless combinations, a crispy chicken sandwich deserves a spot in the spotlight. From classic toppings to sweet heat, chicken sandwiches give foodservice operators plenty of room to get creative. A few changes to sauces, cheeses, and toppings can turn one crispy chicken fillet into several menu options. Ready to stack up something delicious? Here are five chicken sandwiches to inspire your National Sandwich Day menu. ## 1. The Classic Crispy Chicken Sandwich[![Crispy Chicken Sandwich and Fries](https://blog.mtiproducts.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Crispy%20Chicken%20Sandwich%20and%20Fries.png?width=456&height=304&name=Crispy%20Chicken%20Sandwich%20and%20Fries.png)](http://www.autofry.com) Sometimes, simple hits the spot. A crispy chicken fillet topped with crunchy pickles and creamy mayonnaise on a toasted brioche bun delivers a satisfying combination of flavor and texture. Want to make it your own? Add shredded lettuce, sliced tomato, or a signature house sauce. The classic also makes a great starting point for building the rest of your chicken sandwich lineup. **Complete the meal:** Serve with golden [French fries](https://blog.mtiproducts.com/making-a-menu-different-fry-cuts-and-how-to-serve-them) and a side of your signature dipping sauce. ## 2. Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich Bring the heat with a Nashville hot chicken sandwich! Coat crispy fried chicken in a spicy Nashville-style sauce, then layer it with tangy pickles and creamy coleslaw on a soft bun. The slaw adds crunch and balances the spice, making every bite a mix of hot, cool, crispy, and creamy. Let guests choose their heat level or offer extra hot sauce on the side. **Complete the meal:** Pair with waffle fries for catching every delicious drip. ## 3. Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich Crispy chicken, smoky bacon, and creamy ranch make a delicious team. Add cheddar cheese, lettuce, and tomato, then pile everything onto a toasted potato roll. This sandwich brings familiar flavors together in a hearty option that fits right into a bar, bowling center, family entertainment venue, or casual restaurant menu. For an easy variation, swap cheddar for pepper jack or add pickled jalapeños for a little kick. **Complete the meal:** Offer onion rings and extra ranch for dipping. ## 4. Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich Sweet meets spicy in this flavor-packed sandwich. Drizzle crispy chicken with hot honey, then top it with tangy pickles and a refreshing cabbage slaw. A toasted brioche bun complements the sweetness, while the pickles help balance the rich chicken and honey. Keep the hot honey drizzle light enough to let the crispy coating shine. Try it as a limited-time special, or offer hot honey as an upgrade to your classic chicken sandwich. **Complete the meal:** Serve with sweet potato fries for another sweet and savory combination. ## 5. Jalapeño Popper Chicken Sandwich[![AutoFry Crispy Jalapeno popper Sandwich](https://blog.mtiproducts.com/hs-fs/hubfs/AutoFry%20Crispy%20Jalapeno%20popper%20Sandwich.png?width=469&height=391&name=AutoFry%20Crispy%20Jalapeno%20popper%20Sandwich.png)](http://www.autofry.com) Give a favorite appetizer the sandwich treatment! Start with crispy chicken, add a creamy jalapeño cream cheese spread, and finish with bacon and cheddar on a toasted bun. Use pickled jalapeños for a tangy bite or roasted jalapeños for a deeper pepper flavor. Either way, this sandwich delivers plenty of personality and gives guests something a little different to order. **Complete the meal:** Pair with crispy tater tots to round out this comfort food creation. ## Bring the Crunch to Your Menu with AutoFry® A great chicken sandwich starts with a crispy foundation, and [AutoFry](http://www.autofry.com) can help you bring that crunch to your menu. AutoFry’s ventless, fully enclosed design allows operators to prepare fried favorites without a traditional hood and duct system.
