As always, this premier event in foodservice equipment and supplies provided valuable insights into where the industry is headed. Here are our top takeaways from this year’s show: ### 1. **Labor Reduction via Automation** One of the biggest trends at The NAFEM Show 2025 was the continued focus on automation as a solution to labor shortages. Foodservice operators are facing ongoing staffing challenges, and MTI’s ventless kitchen equipment—such as [AutoFry®](http://www.atuofry.com)and the new [**MTI-40E PRO**](https://www.autofry.com/mti-40e-pro)—demonstrates how automation can streamline operations. AutoFry simplifies cooking processes, reduces the need for highly skilled labor, and ensures consistent food quality, making it an essential asset for today’s foodservice operations. The **MTI-40E PRO** takes efficiency to the next level with enhanced technology, including a [**built-in automated oil filtration system**](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PT2utRHtoYM) that extends oil life and reduces manual maintenance. This feature not only helps lower operational costs but also ensures a cleaner, more efficient frying process, allowing operators to focus on serving great food with minimal downtime. ### 2. **The Demand for a Compact Footprint[![NAFEM Display 2](https://blog.mtiproducts.com/hs-fs/hubfs/NAFEM%20Display%202.jpg?width=347&height=463&name=NAFEM%20Display%202.jpg)](http://www.autofry.com)** Space is always at a premium in commercial kitchens, and this year’s show reinforced the importance of maximizing efficiency with compact, high-performance equipment. MTI’s ventless fryers are designed with space constraints in mind, allowing operators to expand their menu offerings without the need for costly hood systems or additional square footage. Our solutions continue to redefine what’s possible for small kitchens, food kiosks, and non-traditional foodservice locations. ### 3. **New Technologies: Digital Kitchen Management Solutions** A major talking point at NAFEM 2025 was the rise of digital kitchen management systems. The industry is embracing technology to enhance operational efficiency, improve consistency, and reduce food waste. These innovations are helping foodservice operators optimize performance and maintain high standards across multiple locations. ### **Looking Ahead: MTI at NAFEM 2026** The energy at NAFEM 2025 was unmatched, and we were thrilled to engage with so many industry professionals.
