Saturday, May 9th is a day to mark on your calendar. It is a day for food connoisseurs across the globe to unite and share their undying love for everything edible, National Foodies Day! Food is what connects us. In every country, in every home, more now than ever, food is at the center of it all. "What's for dinner?" is probably one of the most frequently asked questions that has ever existed.
At MTI, we like to consider ourselves quite the foodies. So, we decided to put together a list of four of the funkiest fried foods that we love to make in the AutoFry! Not only is each one easy to make, they are also great additions to just about any menu. Don't just take our word for it, check them out below and see for yourself!

Deep Fried PB & J

If you haven't tried deep frying a pre-made peanut butter and jelly sandwich, then you are truly missing out! This grade school staple is taken to a whole new level once it has been fried and drizzled with vanilla icing. Not to mention you can  switch up your PB & J for other ingredients like chocolate hazelnut spread or marshmallow fluff.

Chicken Cheese Steak Egg Rolls

That's right, CHICKEN CHEESE STEAK EGG ROLLS. These bad boys are loaded with shredded chicken, peppers, onions and cheddar cheese. We build em, we freeze em, and then we fry em! Serve them up with a few sauces for dipping and you've got a dynamite addition to your appetizer menu.

Deep Fried Hot Dog

Take this backyard classic to a whole new level! Once you deep fry a hot dog, there is no going back. The final result is a crispy, juicy eating experience like you have never had before. Take it to the next level by wrapping the hot dog in thinly sliced bacon!

Blueberries & Cream Wontons

This sweet and creamy dessert is easy to put together and serve. Fill a wonton with a dollop of cream cheese frosting and 3-4 blueberries. Seal edges with a little bit of water. Leave the completed wontons in the freezer until completely frozen and then fry them up. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream!

Well, there you have it folks! Funky enough for you? Check back again next week for more great tips and recipes.
