Next Friday marks the official start of the season and with it comes vacation season. For vacation towns this means business is about to pick up, but for restaurants far from the shoreline, can mean a lull in foot traffic. It is important for quick serve and full-service establishments to implement strategies to keep sales from dropping during the summer months.** At [Motion Technology Inc](https://mtiproducts.com/), we know how imperative it is for any business to maintain speed throughout the entire year. This is vital for not only your brand reputation, but for your staff as well. We have found that by making some fun, summer additions, your company can thrive just like their coastal counterparts. Vacations only last so long, but on any day of the week your customers can escape to paradise just by walking through your front doors.  ![Flower on table ](https://blog.mtiproducts.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Flower%20on%20table%20.png?width=257&name=Flower%20on%20table%20.png)Summer décor and themes are great ways to bring in those patrons looking for a siesta setting to enjoy their meal. Bright colors like, green and yellow help bring the outside, in. Fresh flowers are also perfect for creating and outdoor atmosphere without all that summer humidity. Try adding summer or tropical themed music as the *piece de resistance*, to bring it all together! Now, lets talk menu. While it is important for the atmosphere to scream summer, it is even more important that the food does. When whipping up fun dishes in the [AutoFry](https://www.autofry.com/) & [MultiChef XL](https://multichef.com/) test kitchen, we were able to come up with some great seasonal menu ideas to combat that summer slump. Tasty coconut shrimp is fried to perfection in the ![mango-catfish-taco-2944558_960_720](https://blog.mtiproducts.com/hs-fs/hubfs/mango-catfish-taco-2944558_960_720.jpg?width=300&name=mango-catfish-taco-2944558_960_720.jpg)AutoFry and then tossed with mixed greens, mango slices, toasted almonds, and a lime vinaigrette for the ultimate summer salad. Another great option combines chicken, seasoned with chili powder, cumin and oregano and roasted in the MultiChef XL with fresh cilantro and pineapple for freshly prepared tacos! With our [ventless kitchen equipment](https://blog.mtiproducts.com/vented-vs-ventless-commercial-deep-fryer), the possibilities are endless. So, embrace the summer sun, and bring the season inside! Wow your guests not only with décor and music, but with delicious menu options they can only get at this very special time of year. With a few simple changes you can make your restaurant the summer destination your guests never knew they needed!
