Mixing it Up with MTI: Our Four Favorite Food & Cocktail Pairings of 2019

Mixing it Up with MTI_

What’s better than a magnificently mixed cocktail at the end of a long day? How about a magnificently mixed cocktail paired with some delicious food? At Motion Technology Inc., we can really appreciate a good mixed drink, but we appreciate them even more when we pair them with some of our favorite creations from the AutoFry and MultiChef XL. This is exactly why we put together a short list of our favorite food and cocktail pairings! Check out our list below and get some inspiration for your restaurant or bar menu.

Old Fashioned Paired with Bacon, Goat Cheese & Fig Jam Flatbread Whiskey Glasses

The Old Fashioned is a time-tested cocktail that is classically prepared with whiskey. Muddled sugar gives this drink sweet undertones making for a smooth sip. It pairs perfectly with our bacon, goat cheese and fig jam flatbread from the MultiChef XL. The salt from the bacon and sweetness from the cheese and jam combat the herbal like undertones from the bitters traditionally found in the Old Fashioned.

Margarita Paired with Chipotle Chicken Nachos

iStock-526283742Whether its frozen or on the rocks, the Margarita is always a good choice! This delicious drink is the perfect combination of orange liqueur, lime juice and of course, TEQUILA! Well it can be mixed with what seems like a practically unlimited amount flavor combinations, we prefer the original. And what do we like to eat with our original Margaritas? Our Chipotle Chicken Nachos, with tortilla chips fresh from the AutoFry. The sweet and sour of this cocktail is exactly what you need to offset the salty and smoky flavor of the nachos.

Moscow Mule Paired with Thai Chili Sesame Salmon & Roasted Ginger & Lime ZucchiniThai Salmon

Served in a fashionable copper mug, we can’t get enough of this killer comeback cocktail! While we love our vodka, the ginger and lime are the real stars of this show, and it just so happens that they are prominent flavors in several Asian cuisines, especially Thai. It was a no brainer for us to serve our Moscow Mule with Thai Chili Sesame Salmon with Roasted Ginger & Lime Zucchini from the MultiChef XL! Talk about a match made in culinary heaven.

Long Island Iced Tea Paired with Boneless Buffalo Chicken Poutine

Buff Chick Poutine

It is no secret the Long Island Iced Tea has a reputation for being one of the most dangerous mixed drinks on the menu! This sweet concoction is loaded with four different types of alcohol, as well as lemon juice and cola. That’s right cola. Talk about a crazy mix! For whatever reason, the flavors work, and collectively make this cocktail easy to enjoy. Just make sure you have something good to soak up all that booze! We highly recommend our Boneless Buffalo Chicken Poutine fresh from the AutoFry. Crispy fried chicken is tossed in spicy Buffalo sauce, then covered in blue cheese crumbles and diced green onion, making it the perfect hot and hearty dish to pair with the refreshing taste of the Long Island Iced Tea.

So, there you have it folks! Our four favorite cocktail pairings of 2019.
