Happy Halloween! Menu Options

As October 31st draws closer and closer restaurants have the SPOOKtacular opportunity to add some fun items to their menus, while driving the foot traffic coming through their doors. This festive holiday is a great way to change up your day to day fare, and experiment with creative options. Here at Motion Technology Inc., we love celebrating Halloween, especially in our test kitchen! Our ventless kitchen equipment is ideal for producing thrilling treats for all those hungry ghouls and goblins out there.

When it comes to frying up delicious food, look no further than the AutoFry! For nearly 30 years our fully contained, automated fryer has been serving up scrumptiousness to the hungry masses. With just the press of a few buttons, this hoodless deep fryer can create scary snacks in just minutes! And what about the MultiChef XL? We certainly can’t forget that high-speed hero! The MultiChef XL uses a combination of impinged air and microwave to deliver dishes that will impress even the the most wicked of witches. But hey, don’t just take our word for it, test out two of our favorite recipes below and watch your profits pile up!  

 

Deep Fried Bat WingsBat Wings

INGREDIENTS

8 whole chicken wings (tips included)

12 ounces low sodium soy sauce

1 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup chopped scallions

2 tablespoons sesame oil

1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste

1/4 cup Sriracha

2 tablespoons honey

5 drops blue food coloring

1/3 Cup blue cheese dressing for dipping

INSTRUCTIONS

Place chicken wings into the entry chute of the AutoFry, and dump them into the machine by closing the chute.

Set timer for 12 minutes.

When finished, the timer will sound, and wings will drop from the exit chute.

In a saucepan on medium heat add ½ cup of the brown sugar, 6 oz. of soy sauce, chili sesame oil, Sriracha, honey, scallions and ginger & garlic paste and bring to a boil. Lower heat slightly and allow to simmer until syrupy. Add the blue food coloring and mix in thoroughly. 

Thoroughly coat the wing in your completed Bat Wing Sauce & Serve with Blue Cheese Dressing.

 

Jack-O-Lantern Quesadilla

INGREDIENTS

Quesa-lantern1 c. shredded rotisserie chicken

1 tbsp.  lime juice

1/4 tsp. chili powder

1/4 tsp. garlic powder

2 medium flour tortillas

1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 c. shredded Monterrey Jack cheese

salsa & sour cream for dipping 

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large bowl, add chicken and toss with lime juice, chili powder, and garlic powder.

Using a paring knife, cut a Jack-o-Lantern pattern into one of your tortillas.

Sprinkle chicken and cheese onto remaining uncut tortilla, and top with your pre-cut Jack-o-Lantern tortilla.

Using the pizza peel, insert your quesadilla into the MultiChef XL.

Select the pre-programmed Chicken Quesadilla Recipe.

The Jack-O-Lantern Quesadilla will take 55 Seconds to cook.

When the timer sounds, remove the finished quesadilla from the oven.

Serve with Salsa and Sour Cream for Dipping.
