Well folks, another IAAPA Expo is in the books, and we are still flying high off this year’s event! Even though attendance may not have been as plentiful as previous expos, the energy was just as electric as ever. There was undoubtedly a feeling of comradery between attendees and exhibitors, who were just so excited to be back in person once again.
There was so much to see and do at the IAAPA Expo, we thought we would take you for a ride on our MTI Recap Rollercoaster and talk about some of our biggest takeaways from the show. So, buckle up, and keep your hand and fingers on the mouse at all times.
Automation Sensation
Time and time again, attendees conveyed the struggles they faced from the ongoing labor shortage. They expressed the need to be able to operate their business with a limited number of staff, and the importance of having equipment capable of operating on its own. Owners can’t afford to close up shop just because they are down an employee.
Social Media Matters
Now, more than ever, businesses are realizing they need to have a presence on social media. It is all about getting your products out into the world and bringing attention to your brand. Now is the time to take advantage of the power of the internet and communicate with your customers like you never have before!
Foodservice is the Future
Foodservice in particular became a common talking point at the Expo. Attendees were open about the need to make their family entertainment center, or their mini golf course, more of an experience for their guests. This leads them to the addition of both food and alcohol on their premises. Suddenly, their establishment isn’t just a quick weekend stop, it is a destination. But, what most owners are realizing is that installing hood systems for kitchen equipment can be very expensive, and they must explore other avenues in order to be successful.
We are so thrilled that we were able to meet and interact with so many friends, both new and old, and look forward to continuing to connect in the future.
